NOVEMBER Online embroidery workshop
Workshop Dates: Saturday 22 November & Saturday 29 November 2025
Time: 15:30 – 18:00 CET on Zoom
This November, join me for a two-session workshop dedicated to the art of haute couture embroidery — a celebration of craftsmanship, history, and dimensional embellishment.
This embroidery evokes a garden in bloom. Reinterpreting a 16th-century Medici floral pattern once woven in velvet in Tuscany, Nadia transforms its geometry into a garden in bloom! Blossoms rendered in luminous pink silk petals and leaves of green and red goldwork. Neon sequins combined with Swarovski crystals give a contemporary embroidery composition — a dialogue between Renaissance ornaments and couture refinement.
In this two-session embroidery workshop, you'll be guided by Nadia—who brings over 20 years of haute couture embroidery experience. Step-by-step instruction to recreate this original, richly textured embroidery composition of layered silk petals with shimmering centers, surrounded by metallic leaves — combining historical structure with couture detail.
learn about the weaving ateliers in Tuscany, a treasure of Italian textile heritage
explore how historical woven textile patterns can be reinterpreted through haute couture embroidery
learn advanced couture embellishment techniques
Your embroidery kit includes:
A printed light blue cotton panel with a floral and insect motif inspired by the original gown
Dark bleu DMC cotton mouliné thread

Deep blue Swarovski crystals with clasps

A few days before the first session, you’ll receive a comprehensive tech pack via email, with detailed guidance on materials placement and techniques.
You’ll need to bring:
